Uploading from Local Server to Remote - error

Just a quick question,

Ive been developing a website on my local server with MODx Evolution 1.0 installed, Im looking at hosting and will probably go with 34SP but I just checked and they have MODx 0.9.6.2 available.

Will I have any problems when uploading the site between the different MODx versions?

Thanks

Why not uploading your up-to-date setup, doing an upgrade install and be fine?
I think you don’t have to use the install your host is providing.
Anyway it would be worth telling them, that they haven missed some updates...

Ok Imm uploading my first MODx site from my local XAMPP windows server to a live server.

All is going well and I have the manager working but when I try to access the website I get this error:

MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
« PHP Parse Error »

PHP error debug
Error: include_once(/home/fashio51/public_html/test/assets/snippets/webloginpe/webloginpe.class.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory
Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
File: /home/fashio51/public_html/test/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(770) : eval()’d code
Line: 27

Im guessing I need to change a path somewhere, but Im not sure where, couldsomeone shed osme light?

Thanks

EDIT: Fixed by changing my webloginpe directory from ’WebLoginPe’ to ’webloginpe’. Got a new error now, but will try and fix before posting.

Thanks

Glad you figured that out. The best policy is all file and directory names -- all lower case -- all the time.
