Hi, I’ve just installed Eclipse and am using it as my HTML editor with the Aptana plugin. I’m curious as to how those of you who use Eclipse handle the code transfer from it into a ModX project.

My overall page code in ModX is broken up into say a page template and several chunks for things like the header, footer, and other re-usable sections.

In Eclipse I want to use the helpful code syntax and highlighting features. If sections are missing (for example the head code) then the Eclipse syntax checker is going to complain. This means all of the page code needs to be saved in Eclipse.

...So I code the whole page in my Eclipse file and then break it into modular sections such as {{head}} and {{footer}} but comment these ModX specific chunk calls out of the code in Eclipse.
Then I cut and paste each section of code into my ModX chunks and remove comments where needed.

Is this what others do or is there a better way??

    Thanks,
    -Brian
