Another my snippet is not working probably stupid question

So here we are again - after my first foray with modx I had to put it on the back bench as I had a fair amount of work on. Now a wee bit quiet and thought I’d give it another go, so reinstalled the latest version (two days ago) & new SQL DB and armed with my trusty MODx Web Development book I set out once more only to have waisted an afternoon (again).

All I’m trying to do is get [!NewsPublisher? &folder=`49` &makefolder=`1`!] to work !!!

I know that you do not use TINY editor / rich text , plus pages should not be cached etc as per the FAQ’s but net result is that no matter what I do there is no Blog Form or anything on the page http://www.fashionstylist.biz/learningMODx/index.php?id=49

If you installed the latest version of MODx, did you then install the NewsPublisher snippet? It is no longer included in the core installation.

Jason is right, I checked your site and because you are running Evo 1.0.1 you will need to install the NewsPublisher snippet separately.

PS. I’ve removed your MODx manager login details from your post, it is quite possible that rather unscrupulous people could still upload malicious scripts that you may not spot easily

Well guys thanks for that - glad to know I’ve not been a complete "Cock" though suppose I should have figured it out from looking at the avaiable snippets - anyway have not created a NewsPublisher snippet from a download and all is now working http://www.fashionstylist.biz/learningMODx/index.php?id=49

Just a thought should this be mentioned in the FAQs on snippets not working thread?

I have the Same proplem: Blog form does not display. It came to my solution that newspublisher is not installed.

but Where can I download newspuplisher snippet?

News publisher snippet[which was updated in 2005 for bug fixes] is installed in my manage resources under snippets tab but under the assets/snippets is not showing. >:(

but i cant get it to display a blog form.
Can anyone help?

Maybe you’ve updated your MODx install to the newest 1.0.1 version?
This version IIRC no longer ships the NewsPublisher snippet.

It might be, that during the "override" of your assets folder for updating something went wrong and therefore the folder of the snippet is gone.

Try donwloading the snippet from http://www.modxcms.com/extras/ and installing it manually.
