SEO friendly page links ??

Hi
Im looking for documentation or help on how to make my links for my web page in MOdX
search engine friendly with human readable links.

right now my links through out the web page look like this as you seasoned ModX ers would know

http://www.mydomainname.com/modx/index.php?id=1

but I want them to read like this when they come up for search engines

http://www.mydomainname.com/modx/this_is_the_actual_name_of_this_web_page.html


Ive read doing this with ModX is very possible. Just cant find the information on where to
set this in ModX ....

Does anyone know the right answer for this or where the documentation explaining how to do the above
might be ??

Change the ht.access file on your server to .htaccess, go to the manager >> configuration and click the friendly url’s tab, then turn on friendly url,s and save.

You must have given every document a alias as this is what they use, also not sure how you have done any internal linking on your site but if you have used [*16*] ( 16 being the page number ) you will need to change them to [~16~] so that it uses the friendly url bit.

what you said about the "alias"

If theres no alias set it will just use the doc id.html so no worries really,

And don’t forget to clear your site cache when you turn them on
