When I insert the template variable into the template it does not pull data to the website.
It pulls the template variable comment.
Ie.
Template:
<meta name="keywords" content="[*keywords*]" />
Website source code :
<meta name="keywords" content="[*keywords*]" />
The website source should have:
<meta name="keywords" content="keyword 1, keyword 2, keyword 3, etc.” />
Any help would be appreciated.

It should work the way you expect it to. Some other problem is at play here, but I’m at a loss as to what it could be as I cannot replicate it. Any other details you can provide?
Additional information:
This is my first install.
I’ve installed the modx Revolution.
I made it through the installation process, Uploaded edit area and tiny mce and then began following the wiki, and several user tutorials.
I installed an html shell template and then started reading everything I can find on templates, chunk, snippets and plugins.
I have a bunch of chunks of code that I want to insert into the main template.
I followed the tutorial for the keyword step.
When I open the template the assigned template variable is listed as it should be.
When I edit the document the template variable is displayed as it should be.
When I preview in a web browser it pulls the actual [*keywords*] to the source code.
In the edit document mode I can see the keywords listed in the template variable box the way they should.
The fact that it displays anything to the source code tells me something is functioning just not correctly.
I do have a question.
Under the template variables is a properties tab.
It don’t seem to provide a function. Am I supposed to upload something to get the properties tab functioning? Or is that beyond this scope?
