Manager Login Fail after install

Hello,

I’ve uploaded and installed modx 1.0 many times. After a successful install, I click close (the only option) which takes me to the Manager login. I use my admin details and it takes me to an error page. EVERY TIME! I’ve tried deleting the install directory before and after attempting login and that doesn’t seem to make a difference. I also visited the landing page (because manager doesn’t seem to work, although I know it says to not visit the landing page until I have configured the setup), which works and says that I’ve installed modx successfully. I’ve only been able to get into the Manager once (briefly) which had many errors on the page.

When I did get into the Manager, I saw the following message repeated about 100 times!


Any Ideas? I can’t wait to start using it!

Web Server:

* PHP version 5.2.* (not sure how it’s running)
* Apache 2.2.10 (Unix)
* Not sure of Operating system

Database:

* MySQL version 5.0.51-community
* No tables over 1MB in size

MODx:

* Version 1.0.0
* No changes made

Browser/Client:

* Firefox 3.0.13
* Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3

MySQL 5.0.51 is fairly buggy and has a lot of known problems so that could be your problem.

I’m using hosting24 and there doesn’t seem to be any other choice for MySQL. I guess there is no other way around it?

You can always ask them to upgrade. They should be doing it anyway.

There’s also a possibility that a file got corrupted during upload or download. It happens.
