'Members Roster' - I could use some advice on approach

Greetings --

Let me say in advanced, that if this is something that has been asked before, then please post up a link in my thread - I’ve spent the last hour reading up on how to create a dynamic member list - so far I’ve read a bunch about Template Variables & DataGrid Widget - but I’m still lost. Its like a different language to and I need someone to help break it down step by step word for word.

So I have a site I’m working on that wants a dynamically listed roster of all of there members - sortable by ’A-Z’ , ’Country’ , ’Type’ (I.E. Personal, Business, Corporation) etc. I want to display this table or list a-z & have the columns click able & dynamically able to re-organize by column selected. When you click on a name of a member, It will bring you to an individual page with that person’s contact info & a description.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

With WebLoginPE, you can specify an extra table to keep custom data in, and the fields for that custom table. The registration form contains the fields, and the data is inserted into the custom table. It has a built-in user profile editing system, and a management system so admins can work with the users and their profiles. It also has a built-in user listing and profile viewing system. I’m not sure if you can easily modify it to allow grouping like you want, but it would be easy enough to write a snippet to do that, since we know where the data is. It sounds like you want some AJAX stirred in as well, though. Still, most of the work is already done for you with a stock WebLoginPE.
