newbie topic : Configuration warning: 'Config file still writable'

I have this message as soon as i managed to install Modx

Configuration warning: ’Config file still writable’

What does this mean?
Very naughty people could potentially wreak some havoc on your site and everything associated with it. Really. Please make your config file (/manager/includes/config.inc.php) read only!

How do I do this..didnt quite understand what I am supposed to do.. and how

Change the permissions on your manager/includes/config.inc.php file so that it is read-only.

How you do this depends on what your server is; if it’s a Linux/Solaris or other *nix type server you can probably do this with your FTP client. Your hosting control panel should have a way to allow you to change permissions. If it’s Windows, I don’t know. I don’t do Windows, but if this is the case there are others here who can help you.

Yes I’m on windows..and I’m figuring it out how to make my site first on my laptop n then upload it l8er.

I’m in PHPmyadmin i cant locate a manager/includes/config.inc.php file..

It’s not in the database. It’s wherever you have MODx installed.

If it’s on your own computer you don’t really have to worry about it; if it were on a live web server then it’s possible it could get hacked.
