Help! dropdown menu using mootools like...

I am first time user and looking to create dropdown menu exactly like http://www.undp.org

I have spent considerable time playing with CSS, wayfinder and mootools and somehow could not replicate downdown menu of above site. So, instead of trying another 2-3 weeks figuring out, i thought posting here for a quick pointers on how i should be proceeding. Or better, if there is already a solution, please share it.

That menu doesn’t need Javascript. You can do exactly the same thing with a plain CSS drop-down menu.

The things i like in mootools is sliding effect that we find in default "Modxhost" template (which is similar to link i have given). I guess i will get there once i get full grasp of link that you have given.

I would suggest starting with the menu and getting that functional first. Once you have a working/functional menu then consider adding the effects (JS/Mootools). In general with sites I develop the last thing to get added is Javascript of any form.

The reasoning is two fold, one to speed development and debugging (JS adds extra layer to debug) and two some people disable so the core should function 100% without JS.
