SOLVED - Newbie installation problem

I’m currently trying to install Evolution 1.0. Unfortunately the installation dialog only asks for the Database-Hostname, the Database-Login-Name and the Database-Password. Strangely there is no field for the Database-Name of the database i want to use for MODx...
As expected, the installation failes with the error message: could not create database.
I don’t want MODx install the database, because it’s already installed. I just want to tell MODx:
hostname
database-name
database-loginname
database-password

EDIT: Sorry, I have just found the additional fields, that are opening after clicking the host connection link. The installation is proceeding now.

While trying to install I am give these 3 options fields

Database host:

Database login name:

Database password:

I enter the IP as well as my login & pw but I keep getting "Connection to host: failed!"

Any ideas as to why this is happening?
