I’ve been reaidng wiht interest the various post with regards to creating a blog in Modx and have installed the basic blof uisng the tutorial, at least i think it’s working, but it’s not what i thought it was going to be and i don’t want to abandon hope.
Heres a brief explanation of what im trying to acheive:
I create a blog/news page.
On that page ihave lots of news/comments for that given month.
Beneath each entry i have a ’comment on this’ link so users can comment on an individual post in that document.
Once the month has ended i create a new document for this month and the old one gets placed in an archive list.
Ok it’s basically WordPress, but im trying to see how Modx can be used as a Blog in place of Wordpress, i would love to see some working exmaples if you would be kind enough to share, even a ray of hope that this can be acheived. Im not a blogger but a good blog tool would certainly be beneficila to my business, even if it’s not Wordpress.

With MODx each entry has its own document, and you use Ditto to aggregate them, and Reflect to archive them.
If you’re really set on having a whole month’s entries on one page, then just create a page once a month and edit it via QuickEdit. Use Wayfinder or Ditto to generate a menu of back issues.

That is how i figured Modx Blog works, it’s not perfect, but it will work.
