I need to move a small existing site from one webserver to another.
The database was successfully moved (i.e. I could use the old URL but I modified the config file to access the copied database).
But when I move the actual FILES (i.e. the entire directories "manager", "assets" and the initial "index.php") and use the new URL, then I just get a blank screen.
I’m assuming that somewhere there are some path names that I need to alter ... any clues?
Also, how can I get some diagnostics - presumably error messages are going SOMEWHERE - but where?

Possibly permissions need to be changed on the files.
Ah, some progress.
I figured out that commenting out the line
// Don’t show PHP errors to the public
if(!isset($_SESSION[’mgrValidated’]) || !$_SESSION[’mgrValidated’]) @ini_set("display_errors","0");
would then make PHP errors VISIBLE to the public.
And as soon as I did that, I found the first problem
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in /u2/gordon/WWW/manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php on line 85
I guess that means that PHP no longer comes provided with MySQL support built in... so the first thing I have to do is to get the sysadmin to recompile?
