[solved] mod_rewrite | isn't displaying friendly URLs?

Hey,

I’m using the mod-rewrite for friendly URLs but something’s wrong:

My links in the pages are changing (mysite.com/heres-a-new-page.html) but when clicked it re-writes it to be mysite.com/index.php?q=heres-a-new-page.html

I want the URL to stay the same, no unnecessary query strings.

My rewrite rule is:

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ mysite.com/index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA,NC]


(i’m using XAMPP 1.7.0 at the moment if that makes any difference?)

Yep, read that. Done it, and restarted. Stopped, started again... Still the same.

Any other ideas?

EDIT: Just restarted my PC also. No luck

Me stupe, i’d obviously changed the file without knowing what i was doing, replace to original and it works fine now.
