hi all, i have created a website useing modx, it’s fairly simple just as few pages with text and pics for content, i need to allow my client to log in and edit the content as he wishes, the only thing is i would rather he just loged in on the site it’s self instead of using the manager. when i log in to the manager as the administrator i preview the site and i get little edit buttons next to all the content areas. is there a way i can create a user that can login on the site (not on the manager) and get these edit buttons up and not have to use the manager at all. basicly i want to keep it really simple for the client.

The simplest way is to use the QuickEdit plugin which is activated by default.
First you need to create a manager: Security/Manager Users
Click on the User Tab and enter 1(or any id you like/have) into Manager Login Startup.
Also you should click on NO for Manager Interface Access.
Not tested but it should work

There is also a snippet ManagerLogin for logging into the manager from the front-end.

Also you can deny access to Manager, for manager user. See the user editing page tabs for more info.
