Wanna create a church site that includes:
blog
calendar
audio & video sermon player/archives
I need these elements to be easily updatable by clients.
Suggestions? I’m particularly interested in suggestions for MP3 & video uploaders and players. Thanks!

It’s hard to answer because there are multiple ways to do what you want in MODx.

Here are a couple of MODx blog items (although some people choose to use WordPress for their blogs -- it depends on how many blog features you need):

If the blog is a really important part of the site, users will leave comments, and you want to archive older posts, you might consider doing the site in WordPress rather than MODx. I’m sure WP has good calendar and video plugins. The down side is that it would be much more difficult and frustrating to get the site to look the way you want in WP since it’s designed primarily as a blog platform.

I use modx on multiple church sites.
And I have all of those options and more.
Typically, google calendar is used for their public calendar.
Internet archive is used to host the audio
And Ditto (included in modx) is used for the blogs.
Just set a user group to allow the addition of blogs, etc.
