Define table in template, but allow for changes in page

I have pages with animals, one page for each animal and at the top of the page should is a table with the offspring. I want to put the table (the structure) in the template, but allow the client to change the values in the table after creating the page for the next animal (e.g. when a new one is born).

If I just put the table (or a chunk) in the template, it’s not editable. I thought of making a document and then binding that to a TV, but I’d have to make seperate documents for each page which isn’t what I want. I’m not looking for any database functionality, just plain old Html table code where the client can enter values through the Manager or QuickEdit.

Is there a good way to achieve this?

Thanks for the tip, but I solved it by creating a TV with ’input type’ RichText, then putting the table code in the ’default value’ box.
