I’ve done a cursory search of the forum and didn’t find this mentioned anywhere but forgive me if I’ve overlooked it. I would love to be able to add custom fields to documents. E.g. a project I’m working on right now for an architectural firm has a portfolio section and I’ve set up each portfolio piece as a document in the manager so the client can edit the copy and so forth. Each piece will begin with a line describing the type of work and a second line naming the client for whom it was done. These lines have different styling than the copy itself and right now it’s all just in the content field and the first two lines have separate styles applied to them via the styles drop-down menu in TinyMCE. This means that the client could easily screw up the formatting of these things when trying to edit it. I would love it if I could add two additional fields to the document and then reference these from the site template rather than having to hope the client understands the way I have it set up.
Does anyone know if their are plans to add such functionality to a future release of either Evolution or Revolution? Thanks!

If I understand you correctly you’ll need to setup a new template and assign a new Template Variable (TVs) to it. Once the additional TVs have been entered you’ll be able to include the custom TV data via a simple [*Template_Variable_name*] tag.
