I want to make a group of web users (well, I made the group already) that only have access to the file manager.
They should be sent immediately to the modx file manager, to the directory assets/files/downloads ... and have rights per folder... is this possible?
Or is there some kind of plugin so that end users can easily upload/delete documents to/from the filesystem?
Well, I looked into creating Document & User groups and giving rights to the documents...
I have given the users access to the file manager so they can upload/delete files and create folders. An I’m using FileDownloadSnippet to display the contents/downloads on the webpage(s).
however I want to restrict certain users from uploading/deleting inside folders they do not have right to and I can’t find/see a way to do that...
each user has a ’department’ ’root folder’ (e.g. assets/files/allthedownloads/department1/) and they should be able to modify files inside of it, but NOT outside of it (so not in assets/files/allthedownloads/ or assets/files/allthedownloads/department2).
