Greetings,
I recently installed MODx for the first time and was able to login and play around. Then I changed some settings
and lost my manager. So I re-installed and no luck. Blank screen on the manager every time. I finally wiped my server, re-uploaded the files and ran setup again, and once again the installation succeeded. When I browsed to manager I still received a blank screen.
I noticed that MODx keeps changing my PHP version for my domain on install from 5 to 4. Is this normal? Should I run 4? I read as many posts on this as I could find and nothing worked. I tried adding the third line to the three config files and that didn’t work. Here’s some background info:
PHP 4.4.8-1 or PHP 5.2.6-1
Apache 2.0.54
MySQL 5.1.26
The database gets setup correctly, well all the tables are created at least. Like I mentioned I ran it once just fine and then this so I know my server is setup right. Any help or insight or direction or advise is much appreciated. I’m a pretty big noob when it comes to this.
