If the CSS files are just full of .class and #id definitions with the usual settings (margin, padding, background color, etc.) They’re probably fine. Look for any URLs with non-local references. Feel free to paste anything in them that looks suspicious to you into a message in this thread. There shouldn’t be anything sensitive in a CSS file, but if there are things there that you want to keep private, feel free to pm them to me.
RE: Your question about seeing which pages go with which CSS files. If the CSS files are all put there in templates, you can just look at each template and see which CSS files in includes. If that accounts for all the CSS files, you’re done. Unfortunately, MODx snippets can also insert CSS files dynamically. You can look at all the snippets for the code regClientCSS().
