Problems with installation - ALTER TABLE

Hi all,

I have some problems with a fresh installation of modx. During the installationproces in the "Install results"-step I receive a lot of SQL errors. All of them is regarding somekind of altering of a table.

The first one looks like this


ALTER command denied to user ’username_xxx’@’my.dbserver.com’ for table ’modx_web_users’ during the execution of SQL statement ALTER TABLE `modx_web_users` ADD COLUMN `cachepwd` varchar(100) NOT NULL default ’’ COMMENT ’Store new unconfirmed password’ AFTER `password`.

Is this problem a result of missing access permissions or?

Yes your DB user doesn’t have the rights to ALTER tables.

Thanks for your reply. You were correct, my webhost had forgotten to provide the corret access permissions to my account
