modx automatic session?

I have been having problems logging in to the manager after the server upgraded to php5. I contacted the support at the server and they came back with - ’It would appear that your script/package is trying to start an automatic session - this has not been supported on our cluster. You should ensure that the software is passing either session_start or session_register in order for it to work correctly.’

Has anyone any idea what I should do?

Your support team is confused. MODx starts it’s sessions using session_start(). This is absolutely their issue.
