MODx retrofitting for existing sites???

Hi,

I’m new, have read a decent amount of posts and documentation, but am not clear on the ability or viability to retrofit MODx to existing sites. We have a number of HTML/CSS sites that clients want to be able to make (mostly) simple content updates/mods to, but of course they don’t know HTML/CSS. So can we plug MODx into these sites w/o killing the existing tweaked layout coding and give them the content control they desire? Are there tutorials on this I missed?

One thing to remember is to be patient. When I first started I remember a certain point when I couldn’t grasp a couple things, but I forged on and was rewarded for staying patient and determined. When I look back it was a turning point in how I build websites. Modx is a fabulous addition to any web designer/developer toolbox. Good luck!
