NewsEditor has solved a lot of the problems I was having with NewsPublisher but I still can’t get an RTE to work. The documentation says that by default the summary and content fields should be rich text but they’re not. I tried explicitly setting them via the rtcontent and rtsummary parameters but it made no difference. I guess I could upload TinyMCE to the server myself and set it manually in the template but I’d rather not have to do that. Any ideas?
Also, NewsManager isn’t quite working right. The Show, Edit and Move on top buttons all work like they’re supposed to but Delete, Unpublish and the button that is inexplicably blank do not work. Also, all of these buttons are not only visible but also functional regardless of whether or not a user is logged in which is a major problem. Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

Unfortunately there really isn’t a wiki page or anything to which I can point you. Pretty much everything I’ve figured out has come from people in these forums, who are great about responding to questions, and just playing around with it.
At this point I’ve pretty much decided that NewsManager is hopelessly broken and not usable. The edit button is all I really need anyway so I’m going to use ditto to enumerate the documents and just create an edit link that sends the appropriate ID to NewsEditor myself. NewsEditor is working pretty well. I still can’t get it to use an RTE so I guess I’m going to have to upload TinyMCE to my templates directory on the server and configure it manually in my template. Not too big of a deal but it would still be nice to have it do that on it’s own. I’ll keep you posted.
