I want to create a blog on a site I’m building with MODx but I’m not really sure how to go about it. I know NewsPublisher can be used to allow users to create and edit blog posts from the site but I can’t find any real information on how to do that beyond just a list of it’s available parameters. I haven’t looked too hard into that though because I’m not quite ready for that part. I’m still trying to figure out how to set up a blog in general. I found a tutorial in the documentation but it uses the NewsListing snippet which has been deprecated and it wasn’t very clear about some of the details. So far I’ve created a new document called, creatively enough, Blog and I guessed that it should be set as a container. I want to have a list of x most recent posts, probably five, somewhere and I figure I can use Wayfinder for that but I haven’t gotten around to looking at the docs to see how. Is there a better snippet for that or should I go with that one? Are blog posts just child documents of a container as I suspect or is there more to it than that? Thanks for any input!

Thanks! I saw that but I assumed it was the same as the tutorial in the documentation by the same name. Clearly it isn’t. I’ll check it out.
