I’m sorry, I’m not a tech guy but I would like to work on my website. I’ve done a few things but I am so lost. I was wondering if any of you guys give actual workshops on using MODx. I would love to sit in and learn. Anyhow, my site is www.thetrojancurse.com. As you see i’ve done a few things but that’s it, I’m stuck. I don’t know how to change the menu topics (I want to put AUTHOR, NEWS, ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, and maybe another 2 things) or the drop down stuff and somebody told me about rss but I don’t have a clue. I’ve been to the forums (wow I’m really lost) and online demo and all that other stuff. Please help. Thank you
I don’t know of any workshops, but maybe this will get you started.
MODx generally uses the Wayfinder snippet to generate the menu. It creates the menu automatically from the existing documents on the site. So if you edit those documents and change the menu title, the menu will change. If you then edit the content of those pages, the content of the page the menu takes you to will change. You should also edit the title, long title, and the alias to match.
