Installation taking forever!

I uploaded Modx to my website a couple of hours ago, then started the install script. It’s still running. The browser title is "Loading..." and the info bar at the bottom keeps quickly cycling through Waiting, Connecting, Stopped, Waiting, Connecting, Stopped, Waiting, Connecting, Stopped, as fast as it can.

Anybody ever seen this before? The server is with IPowerWeb, it’s a Linux machine, never had problems with it before.

I won’t be able to use Modx at all unless this is solved, but I don’t know if it’s a bug or not. Maybe it’s a feature?

There are a lot of files and FTP is dodgy at the best of times.

Re-upload all the files with overwrite ON.

It’s already uploaded. This is after the upload and during installation. I’m waiting at install/index.php?action=language for the database form to come up.

I assume it was already uploaded but sometimes files can be corrupted or missing on upload. It is best to ensure that you have a good set of files and then run the installer again.

Hi, I just solved the problem. I am with iPowerWeb too.
The cause is "session_path".
