How do I change the index page?? [Solved]

I’m trying to replace the index page that came with the default modx install with my own, but every time I try I get a message saying I can’t do that.

Even trying to delete the documents can’t be done.

What’s the trick?

Well, I suppose I could just do a copy and paste of my new page over the old index page, but there must be a simpler way than that.

You need to go into system settings to set the new start page. Then you can delete the old one.

Go to Configuration/
Site/
Find "Select Site Start" and enter the desired page id.
