Manager getting slower and slower.

I do clear it every now and then.

When I didn’t have it enabled, the application would spike. Although I think that had something to do with Jot, which I’ve since removed.

Clearing the cache though doesn’t do anything to the manager though.

Alright, I’ll see what I can do with the snippets. Hopefully I can speed this thing up, because right now it’s unbearable to work with.

I know it’s not two webservers with a shared filesystem.. I believe things are mirrored over to the other server.

I moved a bunch of snippets over, and got the size down to a little bit smaller than a meg, didn’t change anything though. The manager is still ridiculously slow when saving anything (including snippets).

A 1MB cache is a pretty large cache file ... it has to be parsed and updated on each page save.

Hi All,

I just did a fresh install of 9.6.1.2 on a server and the manager is crawling along. I have created 4 tiny chunks and 1 small template. I have no idea where to begin. I have installed 5 other modx sites successfully with no problems on hostgator, but this site is hosted by web.com on a linux server. On my other installations, any action in the manager takes 1-3 seconds while on this server, it takes 20- 30 seconds to do anything. Is there a best practice, or a checklist, for troubleshooting an installation? any advice, or links to other articles would be very helpful. Is it a folder permissions issue?
