Accordion Menu saving state?

Hey folks,

I’m using an accordion menu on my site and it’s using wayfinder. I have the parent docs as the clickable headers of the menu that control the accordion effect. The accordion knows which page i’m on with the use of the <li class="active"> element but how would I control the accordion to open up the correct section of the menu to match? Currently It will only open the top section no matter which page you go to but I can set it to 2 or 3 or whatever, but how can I have this done automatically? I could do it the long winded way by calling the menu for each section differently but can I use a Cookie or save the state some how?
