Anti Spam help

Hello,

Are there any anti-spam plugins that work with 0.9.6.2 at all? I’ve tried 4 and none are working. If anyone knows of a way to scramble your email address please let me know.

Can you provide links to the plugins/snippets that you’ve tried? If you’re trying plugins, are you sure the appropriate events are checked?

The ones I tried are

Email obfuscation doesn’t work well. Most email harvesting bots are too sophistocated to use these anymore. A better idea would be to use forms. OR use a better email antispam filter.

If you enter the email using a TV then you have control on how to display it. Make your own custom snippet to display it.

The only sure way to block spam is to use a contact form that doesn’t display the email address at all.

eForm if you need to customize or process the form data
SPForm if you just need a simple contact form for one or more recipients

I think i’ll use eForm instead of the anti-spam route.
