Template Variable = Another Template Variable

Can I set one template variable to always equal the other?

I have a variable called start. it is a date.

My other variable start2 is also a date, but uses the output widget to make it readable by humans.

Can I set start2 to equal start all the time?

Could I put this in the default value section with some sort of @ code?

For me it would be a little bit more easy to understand what you try to make here if you explain this a little more detailed. To get a picture of the hole thing, if you know what I meen. Maybe this is a template issue.
