Thanks first of all for what promises to be a great CMS experience. And thanks in advance too for any help you can provide.
Unfortunately I am having trouble installing even though I appear to meet all the basic requirements [I am hosted on a UNIX server running Apache with mod_rewrite. Current PHP version is 4.4.7 and MySQL version is 4.1.22.] I have also amended permissions as advised in the install text.
When I start the install, either in Firefox or Explorer, the URL immediately changes to
mysite.com/install/index.php?action=language
and then seems to hang in a communication loop with the server.
The only like problem I can find on this forum describes a ’suhosin.executor.disable_eval’ in the PHP ini file--but there is no ’’suhosin.executor.disable_eval’ in my php file so that seems a blank.
Can anyone help please? I have limited knowledge but, as MODx asks, am willing to get my hands dirty where required.
