On page load, browser opens down the page. Anyone know why?

This is a bit of a weird problem.

Whenever I go to any of the pages on my MODx site, the browser opens the page down past the header and the navigation to roughly where the [*content*] area starts. Does anyone know why this is? Is there a setting within MODx that is doing this (that I can shut off)?

Any help is much appreciated!

Does your template have Weblogin snippet ?
And it is located under the middle of the page ?

If so, try changing the position of Weblogin snippet to the upper part of the page.

Yup, you’re completely right - my screen was jumping down to the login form. Thanks for the help!

It is caused by JavaScript in Weblogin snippet.
When you remove the script, that stops.

Is this true for WebLogin or WebLoginPE or both?

Both I think.
I’ve just used the old weblogin snippet and had a similar issue until I moved the side login box higher up the page.

I think that this is the JS that causes this in the standard WebLogin:



It is a cool feature but it may be a good idea to have the focus be optional, the login form is not always high up on the page.
