    I have Smoothgallery working fine with modx but I need to let my user add their own pictures. Now initially I thought I could create a TV and add some js to add the photos. Thing is I need to output dynamic divs like this:

    <div class="imageElement">
    <h3>Brown Suite</h3>
    <p>3 Seater</p>
    <a class="open" title="open image" href="furniture.html"> </a>
    <img class="full" src="assets/templates/....jpg" alt="Brown Suite" />

    <img class="thumbnail" src="assets/templates/....jpg" alt="Brown Suite" />
    </div>

    I had a look at MaxiGallery and a bit lost on how to integrate it. I’m not sure whether MaxiGallery is overkill for my requirements as I just want to generate a div and use template variables for the <h3> tag, full and thumbnail img tags (Automatic thumbnail creation is not vital) Any ideas?

      You could use a tv as you suggest, along with ditto calls and css to create a ’pseudo’ thumbnail. Or you could display the thumbnail that is automatically generated in modx:

      <img src="[(base_url)]assets/images/.thumb_[+MyThumb+]"  alt="[+title+]"/></a>

      But don’t get put off by MaxiGallery - it’s pretty straightforward really.
