Hosting multiple sites with one installation

Hello

I would like to host my customer sites in one location. So, when a new version of modx comes out, I don´t need to upgrade a load of installations, only one.

Is this possible and if not, is this going to be developed? It would be a perfect property in modx.

Not available now but will be possible this year with 097.

Ok sounds nice. A feature to completely backup a site would also be appreciated.

That would be an awesome feature with 097! (The one where you can have one install for multiple separate domains on a server)

Also, anyone know of any books coming out on modx? What would be some of the most helpful printed books out that would be beneficial for learning and using modx to the utmost?
I have seen several other CMSs with books out but not modx.

By the way, this responsive forum is one of the key deciding factors why I chose modx over all other opensource CMSs - Typo3, Drupal, Mango, Joomla, etc. etc.

I’ve thought many times about how fun it would be to write such a book. But every time I do -reality taps me on the shoulder and reminds me that MODx is such a rapidly developing product that a book would be long since obsolete by the time it hit the shelf! On the bright side, the rapid development of MODx is one of the things I enjoy most about it.
