New Manager Fields?

Hey folks, I’m wondering how I can add new fields so that the manager stores someone’s address for example. It as straight forward as adding fields on the user attributes database, modifying the manager template and the register pages or is there more to it than that?

I think that you are thinking of Template Variables. Simply add the needed template variables and these fields will be available to use in the content. You can add as many template variables as needed adn they can also be edited with quickedit. Very cool stuff.

Basically what I want to do is use MODx as if it’s a commercial website. I want customers that signup to have an option that they can put their full details in including address and all the admin to beable to view all their details in the manager area. Most options are there already like, name, email, state and password etc etc but there’s nothing for address. I want I did read that it would be quite hard to do but wondered how hard really?

I have no idea at all if it would do the trick but I think that WebLoginPE might be what you are looking for.

Yes it’ll. WebloginPE lets you add custom fields to the user profile. Very nice addition to any modx site IMHO.
