[SOLVED] Chunks and tvs

Hi there all,

My name is andyflan and i’m embarking on my first ModX based project. Before using ModX I was using textpattern for everything. Now I’m in ModX and am coming across a few confusing issues.

Currently I want to know if I can access a tv in a chunk?

I’m calling the chunk from ditto and want to display an image tv for each record returned.

Thanks in advance for any help offered. As I learn I hope to be able to contribute to this community as much as I benefit from it.

I thought i’d done all the digging I can do but not quite as I’ve found it.

Ditto allows you to access tv’s in chunks like this:

[+tvmytv+] (note the ’tv’ prefix)

Yes, this brings us to an important lesson...what you read is not always the last word. For ditto info the ditto sub site has the best info.

Use [+ +] to use placeholders in snippet chunks. Some need the tv prefix and other don’t. It is a good idea to look at the snippet’s documentation in either the actual snippet code or in the assets/snippets/snippetname/docs folders.
