Yes... another how to change template/theme?

Ok, I’ve done some searching and found this ( http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,15423.0.html ) but damn I don’t understand it...
First there were some omitted steps (order) for the instructions... I’m still lost, from were do I upload the style.css file? (and I don’t mean from what "location", I mean from were do I get it from???

I’ve downloaded 2 themes for this Modx CMS but can’t use them at all...

Is there a way to just untar the theme file into some path and have the CMS find it and make it usable??? or maybe pointing it to the new theme and have it added to the selectable themes????


This CMS looks great... but this theme "system" is not too intuitive...
(btw, I’ve used Post-Nuke, Mambo, Joomla and LDU without problems, just to name a few... I’m looking forward to using this one)

You download a zip file. Unzip the zip file. In the unzipped folder you will find the files for the template. There will be a "templatename.template.html" file, and a .css file. Most templates will also have image files.

Open the .html (or .txt) file in a text editor. Log in to the Manager, go to Resources, Manage Resources, then the Templates tab. Click on the "new template" link. Copy the text from the .html file and paste it into the new template field. Give it a name and save it.

Put the .css file and any images into a new folder in your website’s assets/templates folder.

Most templates have an INSTALL.txt or some similar file in the unzipped folder with exactly these instructions.

If the template uses any special snippets, chunks, or TVs, instructions for them are included as well.

The tar files I’ve d/l do not have any install.txt (or anything that resembles that) it only has index.html, LICENSE.txt, style.css and the images directory...

I cat’ed the LICENSE.txt and all it says is "This work is public domain"...
Thats why I asked.
