Buttons on document editor not working...

    I have MODx installed on my Mac. Its running on MAMP.

    When I go to edit a document the Undo, Redo, Insert Link, and Unlink buttons are grayed out and I can’s use them???

    Also, quite a few of the buttons that I can click on don’t seem to do anything? For instance if I highlight some text and click the "B" (bold) button nothing happens?

      It looks like I have the TinyMCE editor in use (it can installed with the MODx install)

      Is there some other editor I should be using?

        An update:

        This problem shows itself in Safari. If I view my site and documents in Firefox I get access to the buttons not accessible in Safari?

          I seem to recall an issue with Safari, but I have not ran into it yet. Wait, let me check...on my Safari 3 (macOSX) it is working fine in quickedit mode, and in the manager as well.

            Interesting...

            My Safari is 2.0.4 running on Tiger 10.4.10

            I quit both browsers and restarted Safari and Firefox again. Same deal: part of the document editor function is missing in Safari but it works in Firefox...
