I would like to place in my footer the call for the year but PHP call doesn’t seem to work, but if I remember correctly their is a built in function to do this via modx API or such.
Can someone point me how to do this.
I am getting close to getting a live commercial modx site live.

Try this:
Copyright [*editedon:strtotime:date=`%Y`*]
It’s for MODx Revolution, so it might not be quite right if you’re using Evolution. It will display the year that the current document was most recently edited.
