[Solved] Modx install problem

    Hi,
    installed 2 site with modx without setup problems.
    I am now having a problem. Install runs fine, all items are ticked okay.
    when install finishes and opens the mydomain.com/manager.

    I get a blank page.

    I am viewing the page over IE7, wind xp ser p 2. All other sites are accesible over the manager.
    I have been searching in the forum but did not fing any answer.

        Hi,

        sorry for the lack of info.
        I was hoping this would be a known problem:

        MODx version  0.9.5; default install. Version codename  rev 2106

        During the install I did not deselect anything, just the default install. No extra´s installed. Database connected okay. I first created the database in PHPadmin. Installation finalized succesfull, just an empty manager page. http://www.shiftingperspectives.com.au/manager



        php: PHP Version 4.4.2

        Apache Version  Apache/2.0.46 (Red Hat) PHP/4.4.2 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635

        MySQL - 4.1.14-Max 
        Protocol version: 10

        MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

        Browser IE 7, on windows XP Pro sp2, English, no virus scanner active, MS Windows Defender disabled, Windows Firewall disabled. Two other Modx installs run on a different ISP. With no problem.

        Hope this is what you need.

          Sounds like a web host problem. From what you’ve described everything should be OK. I’d try re-uploading the files in case something got corrupt though. I’ve had that happen before.

            jus was wondering if it could have something to do with the fact that there is an httpdoc dir (where I should store my html) and a httpsdoc (where https docs should be stored). A very wild guess, I know. Also the htaccess is not, yet, configured?
            The ISP does not see a reason and off course do no support such problems.

            Trying a new upload and clean install, hope it works. Thanks for your help sofar,

              If you’ve got friendly urls turned on without having a corresponding .htaccess file, and vice-versa I suppose, I think problems will also happen.
