I am trying to understand Quick Edit. How does a non-technical user log in to do the Quick Edits? Does each page have to have a Manager login box? Does that differ from a normal web user login? Or do they login on via the /manager page then navigate to the page they want to edit? Thanks!

They login in /manager and navigate to the page. You can make MODx automatically redirect the user to some page on login. There is also ManagerLogin snippet floating in the forums that you can use to make the manager login in some frontend page. Remember that after user has logged to back-end, he can access MODx manager interface normally by going /manager. At this time, you cannot make a manager user that could only access to QuickEdit by default. If you want this, see: [plugin] M.A.D. Manager Access Denial v.5
