Styles not applied to certain documents

I have a site with several containers that have a handful of documents in them. The containers and docs all use the same template. The containers are published and when I view them on the live site, everything is fine. But when I publish and view the documents within those containers, they lose all the stylesheet formatting. But when I preview them in the admin area, everything looks fine. I can’t figure out why the docs can pick up the stylesheet info when I view in the admin area but lose it once I view them on the main site.

Is there some common reason why this might be happening?

You might be using friendly alias paths and don’t have a base href tag in your template head.
