Setup has carried out a number of checks to see if everything’s ready to start the setup.

Checking PHP version: OK!

Checking if sessions are properly configured: OK!

Checking if assets/cache directory exists: OK!

Checking if assets/cache directory is writable: OK!

Checking if assets/cache/sitePublishing.idx.php file is writable: Failed![/glow]

Checking if assets/images directory exists: OK!

Checking if manager/includes/config.inc.php exists and is writable: OK!

Checking table prefix `modx_`: OK!

I preformed all the instructions correctly and I receive this message. I’ve already went through the forums and searched all applicable topics and came accross nothing relating to this problem.. Can anyone help me out?

Any changes you’ve made | Not to my knowledge.
Any snippets you’re running on the page that is not working properly | It’s not even installed yet, so in other words... no?

is cache directory chmod 777 and files 666?

Make sure the permissions on the directories give write permission and that there’s at least read permissions all the way to the top of the docroot. I.E., if a dir one level up is not readable by the web user, you’ll see this problem.

Okay. I may be a no0b at MODx but give me some credit. I’ve been coding site’s since 15 years of age. Lol. I know that doesn’t mean shit but I at least know that...

Look, I’ve already done all the above, just so I wouldn’t embarrass myself with something as minimalistic as a stupid permisssions error.

Sounds like you’ve got it under control then. You’d be surprised how frequently that happens.
