I just installed MODX 1.0 and I’ve got to say its a great piece of software! I am no programmer, but I’ve worked with Joomla and Zen Cart before, so can at least get my way around mostly.

But I have an issue with my MODX site I could use some help with. The website is http://marine-diesel.net

As you can see the top (horizonal)menu has too many items in it, I would like to restrict it to six total, the sidebar nav can handle the rest.

    How can I do this?

    Any help is much appreciated!

      Hi NuSpirit,

how about the "&excludeDocs" parameter (description: Acts as a filter and will remove the documents specified in this parameter from the output. The startId is still required -> http://www.muddydogpaws.com/development/wayfinder/parameters.html ) in that Wayfinder-call..

You can just uncheck the include in menu on documents themselves as well

          Thank you Sharkbait!

Though I didn’t understand at first, a little effort modifying the wayfinder parameter worked like a charm! I wish I knew more about programming!

And Bennyb... thanks for the assistance too, but unchecking include in menu box removes the document from both menus, not just one.

          Thanks again!
