    Hi people,

I mean, a couple of days working on the "mgr" and my screen goes blank, after hours trying to reset the system,
choose to enter a new upgrade install and recover the entire system and everything seems to work well,
but today I realized that my "TVs" are no more, and try to recreate them I get an error.

this:"An error occurred while saving the template variable"

is there any way to solve this problem by hook or by crook? smiley

MODx Revolution 2.0.8-pl (traditional) upgrade to 2.1.3-pl but no change name in mgr bar
    PHP Version 5.2.17- CGI/FastCGI
    MySQl Client 5.0.77 ~ Server 5.0 ~ PDO 5.0.77
    Hosting: Linux - 4GH godaddy.com (¿CentOS?)
Svr. Apache Cli. Gecko and others

    Thanks!

Do you have any form customization rules that might be hiding them? Are you logged in as the admin Super User?

Deleting all files in the core/cache directory and clearing your browser cache and cookies is always worth trying.

        wow quick response. thanks!

Yes! I am logged on as "SU" I repeatedly flush the cache and also the cache directory, but does nothing.

does not give me problems elsewhere,
but I need to do an ajax callback, passing the parameters for template variable and then call a snippet, to get a "safe field autocomplete"

        regards.

You did run setup in upgrade mode after transferring the files, right?

If so, it’s likely that either one or more files didn’t copy over the originals or one or more files was corrupted in the download or upload.

If, when I did the upgrade to 2.1.3, just got the setup directory on the server run the installer,
and reached the end after saying "install succesfull" gave us a write error, and he entered the manager,
I said it was the folder "setup" present, but the folder was gone,
then delete the cache and said that now the system was fine.

You advised me to reinstall everything, overwriting?

            Finding myself in this problem,
I realized that in a MODx site, you should have a general backup import~export configuaracion with DB,
because if for example my clients decide to move to another server biggest or best price.
to me to re-write all the chunks, snippet, ect, because the id’s of the DB are self-generated and after a few months,
many ID’s are deleted and no reference tables will contain all the new ID’s.

If there is any plugin that already does this, dispose of your mind you have just read smiley

            Thank you for your help.

PS. for problems of English grammar, found in this message, the fault is entirely the google translator smiley

              Backups are a good idea.

You can use PhpMyAdmin to export the DB and FTP to copy all files. That will give you a full backup of the site.

But running Setup in upgrade mode will not touch anything but the MODX core code.

Your content and any custom plugins, snippets, templates, TVs, categories, or chunks will not be touched.

Thanks for your reply, I agree with you to make copies and backups with phpMyAdmin but the work is long and hard when your site, more than 200 chunks and 200 snippets, it would be interesting to export an entire category and can import and automatically change all the references.
and also for example: take a group of snippets to other web MODx.

                would MODx, a CMS portable.

soon I think, hey I are my own import / export and hopefully contribute to the community

thank you very much for lending even time.

                regards.

PS. with MySQL Administrator, the backup job, it would be easier than phpMyAdmin?
