    hi

i was locked out of the modx manager, but i got back in by going into phpmyadmin and changing values in tables:

    modx_users
    modx_user_attributes

in the password field of the modx_users table i selected MD5 in the "select function to apply to value" dropdown and this lets you enter a plain text password value into the form.

i also deleted the values in fields: cachepwd, and salt.

then in modx_user_attributes, i changed any field with "block" in it’s fieldname to "0".

of course, in phpmyadmin you press "go", to make changes happen.

then i was able to login to manager.

but then changed password in manager and logged out to test it, and was locked out again?

    thanks

Did the password you entered contain any punctuation or accented characters? That could be causing your trouble.
