    Hi there,

I’ve installed ModX Revolution on my server (LAMP) and been experimenting with it for a few days by now. It’s a great cms. But one thing is a little annoying: I’ve been experiencing a massive slowdown in my FireFox when using the ModX Manager for a while. It starts hanging every few seconds (which I took the session store feature responsible for in the first place, but it wasn’t) and every open tab get’s annoyingly tenacious. After restarting the FF and reopening the Manager all works fine for some time until it slows down again.

Has anyone got the slightest clou what might be causing this behaviour?

    Thanks a lot!

    Regards,

    Hendrik

Have you tried running Firefox in Safe Mode to see whether the problem related to a Firefox Add-on? Personally I use Chrome for Revolution even though Firefox is my default brower because the Manager used to run awfully slow and Firefox uses more memory. I don’t think this is a problem anymore though.

Do you have firebug on? The two don’t play so well together...

Indeed I have. But I had it already switched off (deactivated, not removed) without any change. It’s definitely got something to do with memory consumption as that permanently goes straight up in portions of just a few KBs up to some megabytes sometimes. I’d really like to keep using firebug as it’s a great tool.

Not yet, no... I’ll give it a try.
