I have a website I’m working on for a client, and what they ultimately want is several user groups that correspond to their respective resource groups (up to 12 different ones). That way they can give each member access to information that pertains to them, instead of needing to go through all of it. They will also need a "super user" group for normal users (non-admins) that can access all of the information.

I get the idea behind how the Revo Permissions setup works (or I think I do). Right now I have the 12 user groups, and then the 12 resource groups. I then have the user groups with access permissions to their respective resources set at Member - 9999, Load Only, for web. My problem is, it’s not working. When logged into an account in one of the user groups, I cannot see the pages I want those accounts to see. Not only that, but any time a page has any access permissions on it at all, the Super Admin accounts can no longer see the page in the front in. Once I remove all permissions on that page, Super Admin accounts can see it again.

I did get into this project part way through, so I’m not 100% what all was changed, but to my knowledge it’s all setup correctly. So I’m having trouble finding the problem area. I have been following along with this guide as well: http://bobsguides.com/revolution-permissions.html. Though I’m still just stumped.

    I appreciate any help.

I’m assuming that you mean "seeing" the resources in the Manager.

Your problem with the admin can be solved by adding the admin Super User to ask user groups.

For the other issue, it might be that each group also needs a Context Access ACL entry with a context of ’web’ in order to see the resources in that context.

I meant seeing the pages in the front end, for both the admins and the users I just get the 404 error page no matter what I visit. I can still see the pages in the manager area as an admin and edit their content and everything.

I’ll try the fix you gave me for the other groups. Thanks!

Okay, the admins appear to be working now, although I didn’t change anything related to them.

Now it’s just the users. I tried adding Context Access for "web," but now instead of the 404 error page the user sees the homepage. I even tried setting the access as a Super Admin for it, and still the same thing.

I’ll keep playing around with it though.

          **EDIT**
Everything is working now, it was the Access Policy, I had it set as "Load Only." I confused "load" with "view." So with that changed, it’s all working now.
